LAUNCHING SOON · THE SIGNAL 50

More leads. Where are the booked jobs?

More inquiries don’t explain where the bookings went. Signal helps review linked lead-source and job records, so your team can check what changed and what needs attention.

The first 50 customers receive a free initial Signal scan after launch.

Leads · Estimates · Billing · Payments · Business changes · Marketing. NORI helps explain the records and patterns behind the day.

THE WORKING DAY BEHIND THE PROBLEM

Does this sound like your week?

Inquiries are coming in, but the office has fewer confirmed dates. One report counts submissions; another counts this week’s appointments. Some customers are still deciding; some bookings belong to earlier inquiries. These totals can answer different questions.

A fair comparison helps the owner choose where to look: capture, response, customer fit or scheduling. Different definitions can send the team after a cause the records have not established.

Keep unmatched, unknown and pending outcomes visible.

Use a percentage only when linked bookings are a known subset of the same known lead group. The result does not establish cause, profit or a target conversion rate.

Start with the right records.

First decide whether you are reviewing bookings made in a period or the outcomes of leads received in a period. Both can be useful; they are different views.

  • Distinct inquiries with arrival date, source and a shared customer or inquiry reference.
  • Linked job or appointment records, booking date, current status and cancellations or reschedules.
  • Your definitions of a lead and booked job, review periods and the outcome observation cutoff.
What should I know before checking?

Define the lead group, source and booking outcome before comparing totals. Follow a cohort of distinct inquiries to linked jobs, giving each group a comparable time to book. Keep pending, unmatched and unknown outcomes visible. An ad conversion, estimate or assessment is not automatically a booked job.

Make the handoff visible.

  1. Agree on what counts

Write your lead and booking definitions. Keep assessments, quotes and confirmed work distinct. Decide how repeat customers and reschedules fit. Leads linked to jobs and job-document totals are different counts.

  2. Give each lead group time to decide

Choose cohort arrival dates and a comparable outcome cutoff. New leads have had less time to book. Keep customers still considering the work visible rather than classifying them as unsuccessful.

  3. Find the next question in the records

Review linked outcomes by source. Check missing inquiries, response history or available dates as needed. Assign unresolved checks to the responsible office, owner or reporting person; the comparison does not establish cause.

FICTIONAL EXAMPLE · A HANDOFF TO CHECK

What it establishes. The groups have had different amounts of time to book. Their apparent difference needs a fairer comparison.

What to check next. The owner agrees on a comparable cutoff. The office records pending decisions and investigates any inquiry without a clear next step.

A gap needs context.

Check these legitimate explanations before deciding the handoff was missed.

  • Recent leads have not had the same time to decide as earlier leads.
  • Source tracking, inquiry records or job links are incomplete.
  • Customer timing, available appointments, repeat work or reschedules change what the totals represent.

The questions your office will ask.

Why do ad conversions and booked jobs differ?

A conversion is the event configured in the advertising tool. A booked job follows your business’s booking definition. Check the event and link the relevant inquiry to its job before comparing them.

Should every lead become a booking?

Customers can decline, need different work or choose a later date. Record those outcomes separately from missing evidence. This review does not supply a universal target rate.

Does a lower booking count mean the advertising is worse?

The count alone cannot establish that. Check comparable groups, record completeness, customer needs, response and scheduling before deciding what changed.

THE BROADER SIGNAL PICTURE

See today’s priorities. Understand what changed.

Signal is launching soon. It is designed to compare available records across your existing tools, show what needs attention and help your team understand the changes behind the working day.

Which leads became booked jobs?

The inquiry count alone cannot explain how a lead source is turning into work.

Signal compares linked lead-source and booking records across comparable periods. Your team checks response, lead quality and availability; a change does not establish cause or campaign profitability.
